Harbor Island Yacht Club (HIYC) is devoted to the promotion of sailing and sailboat racing. HIYC is a family friendly and inviting place for newcomers and sailboat veterans of all ages who enjoy sharing good times in a variety of social and sailing activities.

HIYC is located on Old  Hickory Lake minutes from Nashville, Tennessee at 100 Harbor Drive, Old Hickory Tennessee 37138. 

HIYC was formed in 1961 by a group of sailing enthusiasts. The club has steadily grown and now has a membership of over 125 families including active, junior, and associate members. The purpose of our club is to promote sailing in all its branches; to help promote a code of ethics and safety for the waterways; to provide instruction in boat handling and seamanship; to form a social and activity nucleus for individuals and their families interested in yachting; to develop an active relationship with other sailing organizations; and to foster the Corinthian spirit of good fellowship.

HIYC has several fleets including a large cruising fleet, a Lightning fleet, a Laser fleet, and an Optimist dinghy fleet. We have regular regattas planned for each fleet throughout the year and have many social activities scattered throughout the year.
